September in Hot Springs............

September is that time of year when summer comes to an end and we start thinking of cooler weather.
The cool weather might not be here yet but there is much to do in Hot Springs in the month of September.
The Events highlighted below are just a small portion of the ones we are focusing on this month......Enjoy!
September welcomes the last full holiday of summer with Labor Day which is honored on
Monday September 5th
On Friday, 9-2-11  the city celebrates Art Walk  where the downtown Art Galleries (of which there are many) will be open late into the evening to showcase their many talented artists.
Some of the artwork in our Condo is from the Alison Parson Gallery. http://alisonparsons.com/
The Blue Moon Gallery offers a combination of several unique and interesting artists who display their artwork. http://bluemoonartgallery.com/
A highly unconventional art gallery is The Art Church  http://www.artchurch.org/which is off the main area of downtown on Whittingham and is owned and managed by a dedicated art teacher and her husband. They are remodeling the beautiful church to all its past glory and a visit will be worth the time.

On the 3rd Friday of every month downtown stays open for Antique/ Boutique Walk and this month it  will be held Friday, September 16th
One of our very favorite Antique stores is Moonlight Antiques.http://www.judysdesigns.com/
It is owned and operated by the ever iridescent Ashley and Judy who opened the store 7 years ago. The building was a former Hardware store and today houses almost 5,000 square feet of  "treasures". Well worth the visit.

Another family oriented event is the Garland County Fair which is held at the County Fairgrounds and is  from 9-13-11 thru 9-18-11
